16-April-2012,The international crude oil price for Indian Basket as computed/published today by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas increased on to 13.4.2012 to US$ 119.06 per barrel (bbl). The comparative price published on last Friday (13.04.2012) representing price of 12.04.2012 was US$ 118.65/bbl.
In rupee terms also, the crude oil price went up to Rs 6122.07 on 13.4.2012 against Rs 6103.36 per bbl on 12.04.2012. This was due to increase in crude oil price in dollar terms, though rupee-dollar exchange rate remained almost same will slight appreciation on 13.4.2012 at Rs 51.42/US$ against Rs 51.44/US$ on 12.04.2012
