International Crude Oil Prices of Indian Basket Declines on 10.07.2012 to US$ 97.42/BBL


The international crude oil price for Indian Basket as computed/published today by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas was slightly lower at US$ 97.42/barrel (bbl) on 10.7.2012.The price was lower than US$ 97.77/bbl on the previous trading day of 9.7.2012.

In rupee terms also, the crude oil price fell to Rs 5437.01 per bbl on 10.07.2012 from Rs 5477.08 per bbl on 9.07.2012. This was due to the decline in prices in dollar terms as also because of rupee appreciation with rupee-dollar exchange rate on 10.07.2012 at Rs  55.81/US$ against Rs56.02/US$ on 9.07.2012.
