Chief Secretary Alok Kumar Jain has  directed the officers of Planning and Finance Departments to finalize the  proposal of Annual Plan 2012-13 estimated at Rs. 8212.60 crore so that it could  be forwarded to Central Planning Commission.
In a Review meeting of Annual Plan at  Secretariat on Thursday with officers of Planning and Finance Departments,  Chief Secretary instructed the officers to consider closely all the aspects  while finalizing the Annual Planning proposal and ensure no confusion and  paradox prevailed amongst different departments. He instructed them to put more  impetus on the areas where more funds were needed so that maximum amount could  be received. He asked them to give priority to the projects related to the  public interests and also to give more importance to project areas like horticulture,  fruit-vegetable processing, health, medical, education, infrastructure  development, quality education in hill areas, tourism, science and technology. 
Chief Secretary has directed the officers  to host a meeting and give final shape to the proposal so that it could be  presented to the Chief Minister for his perusal. Proposal pertaining to 11th  Five Year Plan (2012-17) were also discussed during the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Principal Secretary  Planning S Ramaswami, Secretary Finance Radha Raturi, Additional Secretary  Finance MC Joshi and Kunwar Singh, and Director State Planning Commission  Harshvardhan Uniyal.
