Narrow Gauge Trains
Indian Railways is presently operating 147 number of Narrow Gauge (NG) trains. All the coaches running in NG trains on Indian Railways are given proper maintenance, as per the prescribed guidelines, during primary maintenance schedules of the trains. Besides, Periodical Overhauling (POH) of these coaches is also being carried out at various nominated workshops.This information was given by the Minister of State for Railways Shri K. H. Muniyappa in written reply to a question in Lok Sabha today.
